What’s the difference between a Foof Chair and a Poof Chair?
Absolutely nothing. Over the years the name has changed from Poof Chair to Foof Chair, and now to Fuf Chair. The manufacturer and high quality are the same. You can be assured you’re getting an excellent product from a company that stands behind their current and former names! Tags on older pieces may say Poof or Foof, but your new tag will say Fuf.

What’s the difference between a Foof Chair and a LoveSac?
Foof Chairs and LoveSacs are quite similar in form and function. They are both made of high-quality fabrics and filled with very similar shredded polyurethane foam. Foof Chairs holds the design patent on the foam-filled chairs. While the quality is similar, Foof Chairs are about half the cost of LoveSacs. The biggest problem with LoveSacs is that they are sold almost exclusively in mall stores. Can you spell overhead? It’s expensive to maintain a mall store with expensive lease payments, utilities and employees. As a result, LoveSacs are VERY expensive. Foof Chairs, on the other hand, are mostly sold through authorized online resellers—which means LOW overhead and low prices—without sacrificing quality. It also means incredible selection since you can order any size Foof Chair in any type of over 60 kinds of fabrics. And, they’re delivered straight to your door. Mall stores can only stock a few choices due to space limitations.

What is the difference between traditional bean bags and Foof Chairs?
Traditional bean bags are filled with polystyrene beans which are fairly stiff and crushable. They have to be refilled frequently to maintain their fullness. Foof Chairs, on the other hand, are filled with a patented, polyurethane foam—similar to the foam that’s used in sofas, only shredded for maximum comfort. They never lose their fullness and never have to be refilled. Bean bags are less expensive than Foof Chairs, but 3 to 6 months from now you’ll still be enjoying your full, soft Foof Chair while your traditional bean bag will be flat and in need of a refill.

How long does it take to receive my product?
You’ve ordered a custom made item, choosing your fabric and color preference! Production will begin immediately after ordering and generally takes between 2 – 2 ½ weeks to complete. If you select the embroidery option please allow additional production time. Once your order ships we’ll email the tracking number to you. Depending on where you’re located, the order will be in transit about 1-5 business days.

How do Foof Chairs ship?
All orders ship FedEx Ground. Please supply us with your email address and we’ll email the tracking number to you once your order ships. You can track orders on FedEx.com to determine the estimated delivery date

Can you ship Overnight or 2nd-day Air?
No. All items ship directly from the factory via FedEx Ground.

The Foof Chairs and Bean Bags look huge in the pictures. How do you get them small enough to ship?
Foof Chairs are compressed prior to shipping using a vacuum system and plastic bag to remove a lot of air. Our largest Foof Chairs ship in a 22”x22”x24” box. As for beanbag chairs, they sometimes ship in more than one box depending on the size.

The foam expanded before I had a chance to get it in the cover. How do I get the foam in?
If you ordered a liner, the cover comes separately and you must insert the foam-filled liner into the cover. The easiest way to get the foam-filled liner into the cover is to have one person hold the cover open while another person works the foam-filled liner in a little at a time. The person working the foam in compresses the foam-filled liner by hand (and body weight) and pushes it into the opening. After pushing some into the cover, turn the cover and foam-filled liner over 180 degrees and work it in some more. Work it in, rotate, work it in, rotate. . .repeat until it is worked in completely.

Why is the Foof Chair clumpy and stiff?
In order to ship the Foof Chair it must be compressed at the factory. You will need to roll it around, Foof it up, roll it around some more, jump on it, pick at it, and have some fun. The more you roll it around and Foof it up, the softer and fuller it gets. That’s why it’s called a Foof Chair!

Why is the zipper pull broken?
It really isn’t broken. It’s a safety feature to keep children from opening the Foof Chair. If you need to open it, simply insert a paper clip into the zipper and use the paper clip as the zipper pull.

Is there a minimum age for using the Foof Chairs?
Absolutely not. Foof Chairs are great for everyone, including kids. They’re double stitched for durability and double zippered with a safety lock. As with anything, we do suggest supervision for babies, toddlers and small children.

Would a Foof Chair be good for children or adults with disabilities?
Yes. We have a lot of happy customers who love our Foof Chairs for children and adults with disabilities. Children with autism and adults like the feel of the chair. It tends to have a calming effect on them since it provides a light pressure that surrounds them. Foof Chairs are very soft and offer a cradling function to hold someone in place. You might need to adjust the amount of foam inside the chair to make it most optimal for your specific situation.

Are Foof Chairs safe?
Yes. Very safe. In fact, you’ll probably not find safer furniture anywhere. Foof Chairs are extremely soft, fun to sit in and play on. There’s nothing to hit your head on or stub toes on. The opening on the cover is double zippered. The outer zipper has no zipper pull so children cannot open it. It requires the use of a paper clip to open the zipper. If you ordered a liner, the liner provides an additional barrier to opening.

What size do you recommend?

Foof Chairs and bean bags come in sizes from XSmall (2 ft) to XXL (7 ft). Determining size is really more a matter of personal preference and available space in your room. For instance anyone can sit “on” an XSmall chair. An adult, however, would sit on it more like a pillow and couldn’t lean back into it like a small child could. The following size recommendations are based on being able to sit back into the chair allowing you to rest your head back.

What fabrics are available?

There are over 60 types and colors of fabrics to choose from. Click here to see swatches of all available colors and fabrics. All of our fabrics are durable and high-quality furniture material. They are also all washable as long as you order the optional liner. Without the liner you can only spot clean the fabric. We always recommend getting the optional liner as it makes life a lot easier later on.

  • Twill consists of 40% cotton and 60% polyester. Wears well and washes well. It’s not as soft as the other fabrics, but it’s a great value.
  • Denim is 100% cotton. It’s the same stuff your pants are made of. It wears very nicely and gets softer with use.
  • Velvet is 100% nylon faux fur. It’s very soft to the touch.
  • Microfiber offers the plush look of suede, is soft to the touch, wears extremely well and is washable. No wonder it’s our most popular fabric. Made of 100% polymer ultra-micro fibers.
  • Specialty fabrics have the same feel as velvet. If you’re looking to snaz it up. Our specialty fabrics are what you’re looking for. 100% nylon faux fur.
  • Fluffy is our softest fabric. It’s a very short fur-like material. Not many things in the world are this soft.

Why should I order a liner?
We highly recommend adding a liner. All Foof Chair fabrics are machine washable. A liner makes it much more convenient to remove the cover and throw it in the wash. Without the liner you'll only be able to spot clean your Foof Chair. We think every Foof Chair should come with a liner. But hey, if you need to save a few bucks, here's your chance.

Can I order a liner later?
No. Liners are not available separately. It just isn’t feasible to transfer the foam from the cover to a liner and then back into the cover. The only option is to order a separate cover to slip over your existing Foof Chair. This will provide the same function as having a liner; however, it is a more expensive option than simply ordering the liner in the first place.

How do I clean a Foof Chair that doesn’t have a liner?
You can only spot clean it like you would any other sofa or fabric covered chair.

I have a liner, how do I wash the Foof Chair cover?
All of our covers are machine washable. We recommend drying on low setting or hang drying to avoid shrinkage.

How long until I have to put more Foof in my Foof Chair?
Never. Foof Chairs are not like traditional bean bags where you have to refill them every 3 to 6 months to get the fullness back. Foof Chairs will last for many, many years. You never have to refill them.

Do you sell replacement covers?
Yes. Take your pick. Every cover can be ordered without the filling. This makes it easier and less expensive to change your look instantly. Simply order a cover and slip it over your existing Foof Chair. Click here to see our selection of covers.

Do you sell just the Foof filling?
Yes. The filling can be ordered separately. It comes inside a liner.

Do you have a store near me?
We don’t. To keep our costs low, we sell products exclusively on the Internet. That means a much lower cost product for you.

If I return the product for a reason other than quality concerns, is there a restocking fee?
Yes. The manufacturer charges us and so we must pass the cost on to you. The restocking fee is 20%.

Checks and money orders are accepted. We suggest not using cash for security reasons. Since our products are custom made to order, credit cards are charged at the time order is placed.

My Foof Chair is charged with static electricity, what can I do?
There are two options that work very nicely. First, you could rub a dryer sheet all over your Foof Chair. Or, you can spray it with an anti-static spray which is available at any grocery store.

What is your cancellation policy?
Since most Foof Chairs are built to order, a cancellation fee of 15% will be charged for all orders cancelled.
33.
What is the Added Embroidery Option?
You may personalize your order with embroidery. Embroidery is done with white thread in 2-inch high block letters with the first letter capitalized. Choose up to 10 characters and spaces. Symbols you may use include !?&’,. If you choose only initials they will all be capitalized. Please allow an extra week in production for embroidery.
